WINNING
Everyone who is involved in a litigated divorce wants to win. But what exactly does winning mean? Attempting to crush your ex-spouse in litigation may feel good, but what will the final outcome be? Admittedly, sometimes there are cases where there is a winner and loser. But most of the time, both parties lose.
Let me give you a new definition of winning. Winning means that your children have a good relationship with both their parents. Winning means that you have the ability to co-parent your child with your ex-spouse. Winning means that when the divorce is final, you are still able to communicate with your ex-spouse. Winning means that you did not destroy yourself financially, in an effort to punish your ex-spouse. And finally, winning means that you emerged from your divorce with the determination to look forward rather than backward, and make the very best of what life has to offer.
